Daily Design

Stuart Karten Design has created a piece of discursive design sure to hit home during these fiscally-obsessed months. Kurrency Chandeliers are hanging lamps are made out of paper money, available in dollars, euros, and pesos.

co-sign

2001 Nobel Laureate Joseph Stiglitz speaks his mind about the Big 3 Bailout. I co-sign his exact thoughts, for better or worse. Read the article at Financial Times.

As a student seeking a BA in Economics (in my final semesters at Centre College) I hope to add more econ related material to the blog.

I'm choked up

Sittin' at home for Christmas break and I just caught the end of 60 Minutes. They were featuring Pete Carroll, head football coach for USC. If you don't believe altruism truly exists please take some time and watch this clip. This is a toast to all the "failed" seasons as a pro coach and the "2,500 e-mails, faxes and phone calls from alumni (haters)" sent to the USC Athletic Department including "a number of donors (haters) asking for Carroll's removal before they would donate again".
Watch the vid here:

Thanks for exemplifying a fine human being Coach Carroll.
