Things to Do in 2009

Had this forwarded to me from my Dad and thought I would make some revisions and share with those of you who have missed me.

Things to Do in 2009

Health
1. Drink plenty of water.
2. Eat well and eat healthy. - Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
3. Live with Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.
4. Take time for self-reflection. - Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
5. Play more games.
6. Go out and enjoy more days than you did in 2008.
7. Sleep for 7 hours each night.
8. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile.
9. If you have had a tough day take the agression to the gym.

Personality
10. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their
journey is all about.
11. Avoid negative thoughts especially about things you cannot control.
Instead, invest your energy in the positive present moment.
12. Don't overdo. Keep your limits in work and in play.
13. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does. :)
14. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip.
15. Dream more while you are awake.
16. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner with
his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your recent happiness.
17. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't be a hater.
18. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
19. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
20. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems
are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra
class but the lessons you learn will last a life time.
21. Smile and laugh more.
22. You don't have to win every argument. If all else fails, agree to disagree.

Society
23. Call your family and close friends often.
24. Do your good turn each day.
25. Forgive everyone for everything.
26. Find time for people over 70& under the age of 6.
27. Make at least three other people smile each day.
28. What other people think of you is none of your business.

Life
29. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful .
30. However good or bad a situation is, it will change. - Capitalize on both.
31. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
32. The best is yet to come.
33. When you awake alive in the morning, thank God for it.
34. Be happy and smile.
